Today the firm works the Denver metro, the Front Range and the Western Slope — for everybody, and with a front door for the people who do the jobs he used to do.

Mike Rex

I did twenty-four years as a police officer — the LAPD first, then Westminster here in Colorado — and I was buying and selling property the whole time. I got my licence, worked at Keller Williams while I was still on shifts, and then started Rex Homes because I wanted to do it a different way. We work the Denver metro, the Front Range and out to Grand Junction, for first-time buyers, people moving up, and investors. If you are in a first-responder, military, teaching or healthcare job, ask me what you qualify for before you do anything else. Most people in those jobs have no idea, and it is usually worth real money.

Why Mike

I spent twenty-four years as a police officer before I did this full time, and I bought my own first house through a federal program written for officers. So I know what it is to be on a shift schedule, on a public-sector salary, trying to work out whether you can afford a house — and I know how few people ever hear that these programs exist. Rex Homes sells to everybody across Colorado. It is just run by somebody who remembers being on the other side of that particular desk.

Straight answers, and the programs nobody tells you about.

A street of mid-century homes in Arapahoe Acres, Englewood
For sellers

Priced on your street, marketed properly, and reported back to you.

Colorado is not one market and it does not move at one speed — a house in Highlands Ranch, a condo in Aurora and a place on the Western Slope are three different conversations. We price against what has genuinely closed near you, get the house ready before a buyer is looking at it, and put a real marketing plan behind it. Then you hear from us while it is on the market, not only when there is an offer.

The real monthly number, and the programs you have not been told about.

Before looking at anything: the payment, the taxes, the insurance and the HOA together, so you are shopping against a number that is actually true. And if you are a police officer, a firefighter, a paramedic, a teacher, a nurse or a veteran, the first conversation includes what you may qualify for — because most people in those jobs have never heard of half of it.
